Silo House
From Spring 2007 to October 2009 the Cornell University Solar Decathlon team built an 500 sq. ft. solar-powered, modular home to compete in the biannual US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon.
The house was displayed at the 2009 New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY and at the 2009 Solar Decathlon Competition on the National Mall in Washington, DC. The house was then purchased by a private party and relocated to Maine.
The Silo House was finished under budget and received significant critical acclaim.
